Responsibility begins at the source

Our biological wastewater treatment plant treats more than one million litres of process water every day.

80% of our Scope 1 and Scope 2 energy supply is provided without fossil CO₂ emissions, through the use of green electricity and district heating generated from renewable resources. Compensated CO₂ emissions associated with the use of natural gas are not included in this share. Our electricity comes from 100% renewable sources.

In 2024, our ECO₂L-certified production achieved a CO₂ value 98% below the applicable ECO₂L benchmark value.*

Our environmental performance is further documented through recognised certifications, including the Blue Angel and the corresponding OEKO-TEX® certification. In 2013, our commitment was recognised by the German Sustainability Award in the “Blue Angel Award” category. We remain firmly committed to continuing along this path.
